Come out to the Market this Saturday, July 28, for farm-fresh produce, handmade crafts, an ecclectic offering of prepared food, live music and University of Utah athletes!
What's Fresh? The Market is starting to bust with produce. Get ready to fill your bags, carts and wagons with watermelon, cantaloupe, berries, currants, peaches, nectarines, plums, plumots, early apples, sweet corn, tomatoes, heirloom vegetables, beets, carrots, onions, garlic, shallots, turnips, potatoes, kale, greens, spinach, herbs, cucumbers, beans, radish, summer squash and probably a few peppers!
Who's Playing? From 11 am to 1 pm, Music at the Market welcomes Music Garage, a youth program that teaches young adults the ins and outs of the music industry by giving them opportunities to perform in front of live audiences.
What's Happening? The Downtown Farmers Market loves our local university, and this Saturday, we will host `Utah Utes Day' from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Meet the athletes and pick up balloons, schedule cards, team posters and U. face tattoos. Swoop, the team mascot, will also be on hand to take pictures throughout the day.
